IDB Invest – Investment Management Lead Officer or Officer – Tourism – Colombia, Panama or Mexico-1900000267
Description
IDB Invest – Investment Management Lead Officer or Officer – Tourism – Colombia, Panama or Mexico
Background: The Investment Operations Department’s (INO) goal is to generate sustainable projects with significant development impact. Our department follows a matrix model, with three Segment Divisions covering Infrastructure and Energy, Financial Institutions, and Corporates, and three transversal areas including the Financial Products and Services Division, the Advisory Services and Blended Finance Team, and the Portfolio Management Division.
The Corporates Division is responsible for supporting a broad range of critical business sectors including food and agribusiness, manufacturing, tourism, and telecom, media and technology. The Tourism Unit has a mandate to identify private sector transactions within the broader tourism spectrum across our member countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
We provide long-term financing and advisory support to sustainable tourism projects that have strong local development potential, that feature unique environmental and social sustainability elements, and that attempt to positively improve the industry by featuring best-in-class demonstrative effects. We value developing relationships with clients whose main drive is to create financially sustainable projects that, in addition to generating jobs for the local community, focus on enhancing the involvement of the local value chain, prioritize issues related to gender equality and working with vulnerable groups (i.e., youth, indigenous people), and that seek environmental sustainability principles (i.e., LEED, EDGE).
We believe in a highly collaborative process where developers can use the expertise and breadth of reach of the IDB Group to enhance their projects and make them come to fruition.
